Weaving is one of the world’s oldest trades. Here in Malta, the first known piece of weaving discovered dates back to around 800BC, to the time when the Phoenicians ruled the island. Enjoy the opportunity to engage with Antoine Vella in his workshop and test out your skills.

One of the most remarkable crafts in Malta is the art of gilding.  Walk into any church and you'll see statues whose gilding shines bright. It is the prized Maltese Clock, however, that differentiates gilders in Malta from those abroad.  Enjoy your visit with Master Gilder Pierre Darmanin.

We've all heard (literally) about the bagpipe. One might be surprised to know that Malta has its very own bagpipe. Franceso Sultana has been spearheading the revival of some of Malta's most primitive instruments. Enjoy the opportunity to interact with him as he demonstrates his art. 

Enjoy the opportunity to venture out to the countryside,  village centre or remote area for a painting workship with a local artist. Perhaps you would love to capture your most fond memory of the islands or the most dramatic coastline scenery.  We will work with you to cater to your needs.

A day immersed in traditions and meeting local artisans.  On this full day experience, you will enjoy engaging with a sea salt artisans, limestone cutters as well as either a gilder, weaver or shoe maker. We'll also be making time for a game of Boċċi with the locals in a very quant village.

Lawrence's life has revolved around birds since a very young age. He has 11 birds of prey in his care including various falcons, owls and hawks, among which is a Maltese (Peregrine) Falcon. Experience a private display of this ancient craft.

The time-honored tradition of  harvesting salt from salt pans occurs during the warmest months of the year on Malta and Gozo.  There are few families continuing this tradition including Żaren Darmanin. Meet with Żaren Darmanin's family to  enjoy a sea  salt harvesting experience!

You won't be hard pressed to find churches in Malta.  And with churches come beautiful organs.  Robert Buhagiar has been a full-time organ restorer in Malta since 1999 and has restored 35 of them to date. Enjoy a rare opportunity to visit one of our iconic churches to meet Robert and hear him play.

Driving through rural Malta, you will catch a glimpse of a number of village centres. You'll engage with a Limestone artist as well as  either a gilder, weaver or shoe maker. While in the gorgeous village of Lija, you'll learn the art of playing Boċċi with the locals.  It's not as easy as you think.
