Joseph comes from a family of breeders, but this family tradition is continuing on thanks to his own dedication. At the young age of 15, Joseph begged his father not to sell all of the family flock convincing him to keep just 2 sheep. From this Joseph now owns about 150 sheep with his wife Krista. Not bad for part time farmers!
At the farm you will get to meet the sheep responsible for Malta's signature cheese, Ġbejna. You will get to see the entire cheese making process and get to sample the various varieties of Ġbejna made on site at the farm. A day at Ta' Żeppi farm will make you glad Joseph convinced his father to keep those two sheep!
